The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 129 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The new figure brings the total number of recorded infections in the country to 162,891.
The health agency made the announcement on Wednesday night while giving the daily report on its official website.
NCDC also announced that about 116 patients were discharged in Akwa-Ibom and Ogun State as total recovery jumped to 151,648.
It also reported one death in the last 24-hour; so far, the country has recorded 2,057 fatalities due to complications from the dreaded virus.
