The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 51 new cases of coronavirus, COVID-19 in five states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.
NCDC made the confirmation on Saturday night via a post on its verified Twitter page.
The development brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 164,684.
Meanwhile, the active cases been managed by the agency across the country, has jumped to 7,936.
So far, about 154,687 patients have recovered from the virus since its outbreak in the country.
However, 2,061 persons have died due to its complications.
