The representative of Nasarawa Central in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ismail Danbaba, has been kidnapped.
He was ambushed Saturday evening in Sanga Local Government of Kaduna State.
The legislator was reportedly on his way to Jos, Plateau, for a Legislative workshop scheduled for Sunday.
Chairman, Committee on information, Muhammed Omadefu, who confirmed the incident.
The kidnappers have contacted the family and demanded ransom payment.
The kidnapped Member was said to have passed Andaha in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa State, heading to the forest area in Sanga local government area of Kaduna state when the kidnappers ambushed him and whisked him away.
