The active cases of COVID-19 have dropped to 4,500 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, discharged 1,154 patients.
The health agency made the announcement on Monday night via a post on its verified Twitter page.
NCDC also confirmed 17 fresh cases of the virus in 5 states, Lagos-8, Rivers-5, Kano-2, Kaduna-1 and Plateau-1.
The new cases bring the total number of recorded infections so far to 166,534.
No fewer than 2,099 persons have died due to complications from the disease while about 159,935 patients have been successfully treated and discharged.
