The Federal Polytechnic Offa management, has disregarded a revised academic calendar in circulation on social media.

The management says it has not released any new academic calendar for the 2020/2021 session following the ongoing ASUP strike.

“It is fake and not authorized by the Academic Board of the Institution.”

The school authority advised parents, guardians, students and staff to disregard the “Fake” revised 2020/2021 academic calendar circulating in the social media purported to have emanated from the institution.

This was confirmed by the Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocols, Olayinka Iroye on Wednesday, via a statement.

The statement read, “The attention of Management of the Polytechnic has been drawn to a purported ‘draft academic calendar’ peddled on social media.

“The Management wishes to inform all staff, students and the general public that the said draft academic calendar does not emanate from the Polytechnic and should be ignored.

“Academic Board is the only statutory body that has prerogative to approve academic calendar, and it has not met in recent times due to the ongoing industrial action by ASUP.

“I wish to reiterate that the academic calendar which has gone viral on social media is fake and should be disregarded in its entirety.”
