All progressive Congress, kwara State chapter has refutes report in the social media stating that the congress slated for today, Saturday, has been postponed.
The party state Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Aro Folaranmi described the reports as ‘fake’.
The statement reads: “Our attention has been brought to a fake and malicious content purporting the suspension of ward congresses in Kwara and two other states.
“We wish to state categorically without any fear that ward congresses shall hold in Kwara State simultaneously with other states of the country today as scheduled.
“We are aware of the source of the discredited contents and equally not willing to beat a man who’s already down. It would be charitable for the intransigent few to join the moving train with their followers rather than indulge in this shameless moutitude using a footloose online urchin to amplify such falsehood.
“We urge the public and importantly, party faithfuls to disregard the rumour and participate in the ward congresses accordingly.”
