Offa Poly mobilizes 2,793 Students for NYSC Batch ‘B’ Stream 1

Not less than 2,793 students have been mobilized for 2021 Batch B stream 1 NYSC scheme by the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State.

The officer in charge of NYSC mobilization of the institution, Ajibade Oni confirmed this on Monday.

According to him, the Polytechnic submitted all the qualified graduates to NYSC in Abuja for Mobilization and 92% were successfully mobilized.

He also disclosed that the rest that were not mobilized, include students that are above 30 years minimum age requirements for the scheme whose exemption letter have been forwarded to the Polytechnic mobilization unit.

Oni further stated the the institution is one of the few institutions privileged to mobilize such number of students for orientation camp due to COVID-19 protocols.

“Out of 3,030 total number of students that were mobilized, 2,793 (92%) have been deployed. 190 (6%) Prospective Corps Members have been moved to the Batch B stream 2 that is on going.”

He acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Olatunji’s led Management in ensuring that the students were mobilized promptly.

Oni added that NYSC scheme has scheduled the posting of Prospective Corps Members for Orientation Camp into batches to comply with COVID-19 protocols.

He then admonished the PCMs to utilize the opportunity of being mobilized to put in their best for the nation.

“Anyone that misses the orientation camp will wait for a year before such person can be remobilized,” he said.
