At least five persons were found brutally killed while going to their farm in Ile-Ife and Modakeke in Osun State
According to information gathered, the bodies were found in Modakeke in the early morning of Friday at Toro road.
The corpses have been taken away by the police.
Timenewsng learnt Modakeke indigenes have been protesting the death of their kinsmen, a situation that has been generating tension in both Ile-Ife and the Akoraye town.
The Osun State Police spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, adding that a team of police operatives has been drafted to the towns.
It was also learnt that the Obafemi Awolowo University had shut its main gate as at the time of filing this report.
