A five year-old boy, identified as Yusha’u Usman has died inside a well at Zangon Dinya in Bagwai Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi confirmed the death in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday.
Abdullahi explained that the 5-year-old died on Thursday night.
“We received a distress call at about 08:30 p.m from one Muhammad Usman about the unfortunate incident.
“We immediately dispatched our rescue team to the scene but Usman was brought out of the well dead by the time they got to the scene of the incident,” he said.
He, however, noted that the incident is being investigated while the corpse of the deceased has been handed over to ward head of Zangon Dinya Bagwai, Malam Yahaya Sule.
