‘Be good Ambassadors’ – OPU UNIOSUN charges retirees

Members of Osogbo Progressive Union (OPU) Osun State University Teaching Hospital have been admonished to be of good conduct as they reintegrate into the society.

This a s the e Chief Medical Director of University of Osun state teaching hospital, Prof. Peter Olaitan, assured that the state government was committed to the welfare and interests of pensioners.

These was made known during the send-forth for retired members of OPU UNIOSUN teaching hospital held inside the hospital premises on Wednesday in Osogbo.

The CMD then congratulated the retirees and prayed that God would give them good health to enjoy their benefits.

Earlier, the Deputy Director Admin UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Mrs Alo Bola charged members of the indigenous union to be good ambassadors of the town.

She advised retirees to embrace the joy and challenges of their new phase of life. Saying retirement is not the ends of life.

However, the Chairman of OPU, Salawu Babatunde commended the retiring members for their dedication and good conduct during their service years as a civil servants.

Babatunde further stated that the union has breed efficient members towards the service of humanity and that is why the retiring members of the hospital are been celebrated.

He then admonished other Osogbo indigenes to work towards making a good name for the town, stating that “a good name is better than riches.”

“We recognize the many years of dedicated service from those who are retiring today. Today is a bittersweet day for these Members,” he said.

The retiring members include Mrs Oyinlola Modinat, Mr Olaniran Raji, Mrs Adesola Ruth, Mrs Oladele Deborah, Mrs Iderawumi Rafiat and Mr. Adewuyi Rafiu.
