WINDOW ON AMERICA set to be commissioned at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital

The “WINDOW ON AMERICA” will on Tuesday be commissioned in the Medical Library of Uniosun Teaching Hospital Osogbo, capital of Osun.

The Centre is designed to promote bilateral and mutual understanding between United States of America, the people of Nigeria in general and Osun State in particular.

This was confirmed by UNIOSUN teaching hospital spokesperson, Ayodele Adeyemo.

The commissioning will be jointly performed by the Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy, Stephen IBELLI and the Chief Medical Director, UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Osogbo, Prof Peter Olaitan.

WINDOW ON AMERICA OSOGBO , is an initiative of the Public Affairs Section of United State of America Embassy, Lagos, Nigeria.

The Center provides a welcoming environment where visitors can access information about the United States, ideas for self-development and available opportunities through internet surfing, zoom lectures, as well as through books, movies and magazines.

The American Windows in different part of the world also provide information and engagement to teaming users with activities such as using films, discussions and lectures on current events, international affairs and much more.

 

WINDOW ON AMERICA, also known as American Spaces, are hosted in embassies, schools, libraries, and other partner institutions worldwide with over 600 Spaces in 150 countries worldwide, and 19 of such centres are in Nigeria.
