 More Tension In Tafawabalewa Local Government As Peaceful Protests Turns Violent

Tafawabalewa clash: Over Seven Houses Burnt To Ashes With Properties Worths Millions Of Naira Destroyed.

The protesters marched along the main road in the town defied the presence of fully armed security personnel to embark on the protest chanting songs against the holding of the event.

Most of the protesters were seen carrying placards with different inscriptions that are demonstrative of their stand against the program which they believed will rather divide them instead of uniting them.

 

The protests after a while later turned violent as so many houses were burnt to ashes, but no lost of life is being reported.

 

A source who spoke to TIMENEWSNG stated that police who were stations in Tafawabalewa, later withdrew thereby allowing the hoodlums to go about destroying peoples properties, he said the police men moved to Bogoro local government where the plan 21 memorial Anniversary is expected to hold tomorrow.

 

Bauchi State Police Command refused to comment on the development as the police spoke person Wakili Ahmed, failed to answer calls put across his mobile phone.
