Zamfara PDP State Congress Invasion: APC Denies involvement

Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC loyal to the Former Governor of the State Abdulaziz Yari distance themselves from the alledged invasion venue of the people Democratic Party, PDP state congress.

It described the act as dastardly, undemocratic, uncivilised and barbaris in this 21st century .

A statement by the chairrman of the publicity Committee of the APC loyal to Yari, Ibrahim Birnin Magaji said the faction under its Chairman, Lawal Liman while condemning the act, calls for Nigeria police Zamfara State command to launch full scale investigation into the incident.

The police Should ensure it unravel the perpetrators and sponsors of this callous act capable of jeopardising the fragile security situation in the State.

According to him, it was not in the character of Former Governor Abdulaziz Yari while in office as the Executive Governor for 8 years to use any instrument of Party or Government to cause mayhem to any of the opposition Political Parties at any point in time.

He stressed that When The PDP was to hold its Presidential Campaign Rally for 2019 General Election in Gusau, they were allowed access to State Government Facility where received its then Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and It was granted to the Party by his administration.

The Chairman maintained that APC and its Leader, Abdulaziz Yari strongly believe in the Freedom of Association which provides equal opportunity to Nigerians to belong to any Political Party of their Choice and practice same without hindrance as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

The statement said the factional Lawal Liman lauded members of the Party under his watch for remaining peaceful and law abiding even in the face of current difficulties and persecution and urged them to sustain the tempo.
