Taraba Governor offers automatic employment to 49 first class TSU graduands

Cautions Tertiary Institutions On Incessant Strike Actions

Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku has offered automatic employment into the State Civil Service to 49 graduands of the Taraba State University.

The University has raised the stakes for tertiary education in Taraba, as it holds a combined convocation ceremony for four sets of graduands.

The institution also conferred Honorary Doctorate Degrees on Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Chairman of the Northeast Development Commission, Major-General Paul Tarfa, among others.

The Taraba State University, Jalingo, has held a combined convocation ceremony for its 5th to 9th graduands in a grand ceremony that also celebrated the growth and glory of tertiary education in Taraba State.

Governor Darius Ishaku said, he is proud that he is actualizing the vision of the founding fathers of the University, and in his time, upgraded the institution, to one of the top twenty in the country.

He offered automatic employment to all first class graduands at the ceremony, and also cautioned against incessant strike actions, which could cripple the growth of the institution.

Governor Ishaku’s counterpart from Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, was also a guest at the event.

The institution also conferred Honorary Doctorate Degrees on the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and the Chairman of the Northeast Development Commission, Major-General Paul Tarfa (rtd), among others, in recognition of their services to humanity.

The Taraba State University Jalingo, founded in 2005, is the first degree-awarding institution in the state and has since its inception, brought tertiary education closer to the people.
