Police in Katsina have said they have arrested a 25-year-old Naziru Sani, who is one of the loyalists of a suspected notorious terrorist, Bello Turji, who specializes in unleashing mayhem on Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina State residents.
Spokesman of the command, Superintendent Gambo Isah, while parading the suspect, along with 13 others, said Sani confessed to having lost count of how many persons he has killed while under Bello Turji’s mentorship.
Bello Turji is one of the suspected notorious terrorist’s commanders’ terrorizing residents of Katsina, Zamfara and Sokoto States.
It is believed that he has carried out dangerous and deadly attacks, leaving tears and sorrow wherever his gang operated.
Speaking to newsmen, the 25-year-old Naziru Sani confessed that, Bello Turji is his leader and has killed many.
He said it was in the process of escaping from the forest that he was apprehended.
Sani also added that he is a professional AK 47 rifle handler and assists others when in the operations.
He added that Turji has over 200-foot soldiers under his command in the Zamfara Forest.
Sani also stated that, in all the operations carried out, he was rewarded with between 20,000 to 30,000 naira informing the police that Bello Turji is still hiding in the Jangebe forest of Zamfara State.
