Bandits suspected to be terrorists have planted explosives believed to be IED’s on the rail track went that off around Katari, Kaduna State.
Kaduna-bound train derailed after the 6pm train which took off from Idu train station at the Federal Capital Territory,on Monday hit an explosives device about 30 minutes to Rigasa train station in Kaduna.
The details of the incident are still sketchy as security troops have been mobilised to the area to rescue the passengers.
According to source who is the top security officer an anonymous say, there is no network in the area to get information until the team dispatched to area returns to give more details.
He says, the suspected IED’s were planted on the rail track and the train has derailed with no information of any injury or death of the passengers recorded.
At the time of filing the report police spokesperson and authorities are yet to react, as all efforts to reach them prove abortive.
