The Senate on Tuesday passed for concurrence a bill seeking to establish the National Assembly Library Trust Fund.
The bill sponsored by the Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North) said the National Assembly Library Trust Fund when established, will facilitate research and provision of library capacity to Legislatures and staff of the National Assembly.
According to him the bill is expected to deepen the legislative competence of lawmakers as well as strengthen research on policy formulation for the country.
He added that the National Assembly Library will host professional development programmes that will attract experts across the world.
