Osun Election Tribunal: Oyetola File 1240 Pages Petition Against Adeleke

The All Progressives Congress, APC and its candidate in the Osun State July 16 governorship election, Gboyega Oyetola have filed a petition of 1240 pages at the Tribunal to challenge the results of the election.

 

The petition was filed to challenge the victory of Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke who was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

 

Both Governor Oyetola and the APC chairman in the State, Gboyega Famodun signed the petition before it was submitted at the tribunal by their legal team.

 

Speaking shortly after the petition was submitted, Prince Famodun said the party and its candidate have been assured by the legal team that they have good case.

 

Also speaking, the legal team lead, Rasheed Adegoke SAN, said the petitioners have fundamental grounds to pursue the case, saying that with the content of petition they are confident of victory.
