The Nigeria Police in Damaturu have paraded the two suspected soldiers who allegedly murdered Sheikh Goni Aisami. Parading the suspects before journalists at the state Criminal investigation department in Damaturu, the Spokesman of the state police command, Dungus Abdulkareem, says they would be charged to court after thorough findings.

The deceased who was returning from Kano gave him a lift to Gashua before the tragic incident occurred. The suspect confessed that he concealed his rifle in a camp bed to carry out the dastardly act.
The suspect confesses that after killing the Islamic preacher, the stolen car refused to start. This prompted him to call the other soldier, his friend, to come to fix the car but all their efforts were to no avail before they were arrested.
