The Deputy Governor of Ogun state ,Engnr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele and the Deputy Speaker of Ogun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Akeem Balogun popularly referred as Baloo Spero, recently met at the Deputy Governor’s office in Abeokuta.
The agenda of the closed-door meeting centred on the land dispute between Irokun-Araromi and Ilaje in Ogun and Ondo States respectively.
The Deputy Speaker, after the meeting, said “We came at the instance of the Deputy Governor to discuss the lingering problem between Ogun and Ondo States in particular between Irokun-Araromi in Ogun and Ilaje in Ondo.
“We had taken far-reaching decisions to ensure that we carry all stakeholders along in our bid to demarcate the boundary between these two states in order to forestall breakdown of law and order in these areas.
The lawmaker promised to continue to give necessary support to the stakeholders involve in the issue inorder ensure that the problem is resolved amicably.
Other dignitaries present at the meeting were Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on boundary matters , Olorunwa Ilemobayo, representative of the Office of Surveyor General of Ogun state ,the Onirokun of Irokun, Oba Buhari Balogun, Baale of Igbo Edu, Chief Ogunyemi and representative of Ogun Waterside Forum(OWF), Prince Tunji Balogun .
