OSINBAJO’S ABSENCE FLOPS COMMISSIONING OF MIMIKO’S BIGGEST PROJECT “THE DOME”!!! VIDEO AND PHOTOS

The hope of the people of Ondo state and the state government of hosting acting president Yemi Osinbajo was dashed today as he was unable to make it to the state capital to commission one of the biggest projects of governor Olusegun Mimiko which is the international event center also known as the dome.
The absence was anchored on bad weather which made presidential aircraft not to be able to fly.
THE INTERNATIONAL EVENT CENTER IN AKURE SET FOR COMMISSIONING.

THE DOME WAS LEFT UNCOMMISSIONED DUE TO AG.PRESIDENT OSINBAJO’S ABSENCE

All seems to be set as one of the biggest and loudest landmarks of governor Olusegun Mimiko’s administration which is the building of this international conference centre popularly called the dome. Though the dome has been in use for some time now, it was set for official commissioning and acting president Yemi Osinbajo is slated to do the cutting of ribbon.
Drums rolled out, security agencies everywhere with the ondo state cultural troupe welcoming traditional rulers and dignitaries, all with the anticipation of Osinbajo’s arrival.
The event initially slated for 10 in the morning had several people in attendance, but with minutes running into hours, despair begins to set in on people’s face. At about 3.30pm, governor Olusegun Mimiko came in to announce that the commissioning could not hold any longer. One of the aides of acting president explained that Mr Osinbajo tried hard to make it to Akure but bad weather could not make his plane to jet out of Abuja.
Sources of TimeNewsNg at the state house however rubbished this claim. The source said Mr Osinbajo was in the state house throughout the period he was being expected in Akure.
Different meanings have also being read into Mr Osinbajo’s absence. While some are saying he deliberately abstained because of party affiliation, some others opine that the acting president is due to be in Ondo state at least twice next week. One for the Niger-delta town hall meeting which he is holding across niger-delta states and for the possible inauguration of governor-elect Rotimi Akeredolu.
Governor Mimiko however appealed to the people saying acting president has promised to be available on Monday for the commissioning.
With the cost of putting  up the ceremony going down the drain, the people of Ondo state are waiting to see if the acting president will grace the state on monday or not.
