A faction of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Osun state led by Bayo Faforiji says the Ahmed Markafi caretaker Committee of the party remains its only validly constituted national authority.
The faction stated this in its reaction to the court of appeal judgement which affirmed Senator Alimodu Sheriff as the National chairman of the party.
According to the chairman of the faction, Bayo Faforiji the decision to pass a vote of confidence on the Markafi led caretaker Committee became necessary to show support and solidarity for the committee that was appointed at the Port Harcourt national convention.
He said his faction, in spite of the court judgement dislodging the marki led group, will not withdraw its support.
On the 2018 Guber polls in the state, Faforiji assured that the PDP will form a formidable front to take power from the APC.
He acknowledged the fact that the Party in the state like at the national level, is divided, but stressed that the PDP will put its house in order to send the APC packing by all means possible.
