President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the attack on a market In Zaki Biam, Benue state.
The attack which claimed many lives Monday Afternoon was reported to have occurred when gunmen stormed the market, spraying bullets and inflicting heavy damages on people and businesses.
Report also says the victims of the attack were mostly women and children .
The President on his Twitter handle @Mbuhari Tuesday afternoon commiserated with the government and people of Benue state.
“I am Saddened by the recent attack by gunmen on a market in Zaki Biam, Benue State, and which resulted in the loss of live”
I commiserate with the Government and People of Benue state”
He assured that the perpetrators of the attack will be brought to justice very soon.
“I assure that the incident will be investigated and the perpetrators brought to justice”
