NWPL WEEK 4: Osun Babes To Take On Adamawa Queens

To say that Osun Babes FC need a win against Adamawa Queens on wednesday is an understatement. The Omoluabi Queens will look to make it two (2) wins out of four (4) against the girls from Yola this wednesday at the Osogbo City Stadium.

Adamawa Queens are unbeaten in three matches and their manager says they are “feeling good and confident”. They will need all confidence if they are to overcome Osun Babes, who has lost twice (2) away from home this season.

Liadi Bashiru’s side may be given more impetus with the comeback of some their key players with a spirit of determination to add to the three (3) points already on ground, it promises to be a very tensed encounter.

The game is bound to be an interesting one as both sides have shown class this season. Osun Babes have always defeated their north eastern counterpart at home and this wednesday’s match will prove to be another huge test for both teams.

Meanwhile, Osun Babes forward Ikoyo Rejoice feels they need to shake off from their 3-0 defeat in the hands of Confluence Queens and go for victory against Adamawa Queens on wednesday.

The young winger who came on as a substitute in the Lokoja game feels the onus is on she and her team-mates to move on and make it count with victory on wednesday. She told the club’s media team:

“We are in need of the three points on wednesday and we shall get it. I don’t like complaining about poor officiating like the one we faced at Lokoja. We lost the game and we need to face it and move on”

” Our fans expect a lot from us and we need to show class against our northern opponents on wednesday and win convincingly.

” We are gradually getting it right and very soon we will start winning games away from our home just like we did last season.
