Just In: BBOG Begins Verification Of 82 Freed Chibok Girls

Amid speculations surrounding the identity and appearance of the recently freed 82 girls from there captivity of Boko Haram, who are believed to be some of the girls kidnapped from Chibok, the Bring Back Our Girls Group says it has begun verification and authentication of the girls released in order to ascertain of they are part of the original 286 girls abducted in Chunk in 2014.

In a press statement released by the leadership of BBOG, it says the movement
” has begun the elementary process of verification and authentication of the identities of our released 82 #ChibokGirls based on the list in the public domain (this list alone does not suffice for our process). We shall communicate our full report with the public soon.”

BBOG thus urged “the federal government to use the Verification, Authentication, and Reunification System (VARS) in confirming the identities of the returned 82 #ChibokGirls.”

“We also urge the federal government to quickly liaise with parents of our #ChibokGirls and the KADA (Kibaku Area Development Association) ie the Chibok community as was done the 4 previous times our girls have returned.” the statement ended.
