The letter of President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly communicating his vacation has been causing diverse discourse and opinions from Nigerians.
The letter which stated that the president will be leaving for medical follow up however caused uproar when the line which designate vice president Yemi Osinbajo as the coordinator of government activities.
While the letter was faulted on the ground that Osinbajo should be addressed as acting President and not coordinator, some Nigerians are of the view that the presidential cabal are at work to rewrite the nation’s constitution by not handing over power to the vice president.
In contrary, other pundits believe that the president’s order is still in order by calling Yemi Osinbajo coordinator of government activities.
It would be recalled that the presidency was silent on days which President Buhari will use in London or when he is expected to return, which is a clear departure from his first medical vacation.
