Journalists from Television Continental(TVC) got more than what they bargained for at the Collation centre.
One of the team led by the Ayodeji Moradeyo had one of the side windows of his vehicle smashed and damaged after he got access to Iwo Baptist High school venue.
The window was damaged with stones thrown over the perimeter fence of the school.
The second team led by Ibrahim Alege was unlucky as the team was chased away by the irate mob. The team got nearly lynched by the charging crowd.
Ibrahim Alege got to the gate of Iwo Baptist High school around past 7, but was mobbed by the waiting crowd as all entreaties failed in identifying himself as a journalist. Alege and his team had to return to Osogbo.
It is however not clear if the attack was specifically targeted at the TVC journalists. Though so many vehicles were packed,only that of the TVC reporters got damaged. Furthermore, almost all vehicles heading towards the gate of Iwo Baptist high school were being molested by the irate mob.
