Secretary to the Government of Oyo State, Alhaji Ismael Ali has signified intention to vie for the governorship position of the state on the platform of the rulling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The decision to join the governorship race in the state came today after due and diligent consultations with party leaders and elders, his principal, the governor of the state, Sen. Isiaka Ajumobi, other stakeholders and his immediate family.
Alhaji Ismael Olalekan Ali, a 61 year old graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, before becoming Oyo SSG has excelled in the private sector. He is an administrator per excellence, Diplomat, and Chief Executive of different multinational companies before attaining his present position.
Alhaji Ismael Olalekan hails from Idi-Omo quaters in Oja Oba area of the ancient city of Ibadan.
