Unknown gunmen have kidnapped four Chinese citizens from Danatrite Construction Company in Oban, in the Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The victims are, Kan Jinxi, Hujinchang, Jiang Jijun and Cheng Qing, a policemen, Sgt. Ifere Sampson, was shot dead during the operation.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo confirmed the incident on Wednesday.
In swift response, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations says it has mobilised policemen to Oban.
He disclosed that they are going to comb the area in search of the victims were kidnapped so as to rescue them.
Similarly, a woman, identified simply as Mrs Udosen, whose husband was kidnapped and killed in 2018 in Calabar was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday night.
