…..says physical, human development agenda remains topmost policy of government

Osun State Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi, on Saturday said the cardinal focus of Governor Gboyega Oyetola-led administration was to propel productive economy through industrialization.

Alabi, noted that the present administration in the state considered physical and human development as top priority in the consideration of governmental policies.

He, also restated the resolve of the administration to move in the direction of global economy trend, as he made case for vertical integration in the agricultural value chain.

The Deputy Governor, made the remarks at Erinmo, during the commissioning of 500KVA transformer and an automated Garri production plant in the town.

Alabi, who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Water Resources and Energy, Eng. Adeniran Ibitoye, lauded the newly installed Yeye Gbobaniyi of Erinmo, Princess Aderonke Adelowo, who donated the transformer.

He, also called on prominent indigenes of the town to emulate the good gesture and support government’s efforts towards speedy development of the state in general .

In his words”, It is my greatest delight to be part of this success story in Erinmo today, I considered today’s event as a landmark achievement and significant turn around in the life of the town and the people at large.

“You will agree with me that since the inception of our administration, our amiable Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has continued to vigorously pursue the physical and human development agenda in the state as a topmost policy .

“The quest to provide sustainable infrastructure and propel productive economy by this administration, through industrialization is undaunted.

“It is against this backdrop that I laud the generous notion behind the donation of a 500KVA Transformer by a philanthropist, Princess Aderonke Adelowo, the newly installed Yeye Gbobaniyi to this community, it is commendable and worthwhile.

“Also, those Machines for the process of Garri are fantastic; sincerely, this project is a thing of profound interest to me on two grounds.

“First and foremost, the machines were said to have been manufactured in Osogbo, which indicates a vertical integration in the production chain and institutionalization of local content .

“Secondly, the machines are more technologically advanced for mass production for not only local consumption but export.

“This is a good development in Erinmo and it’s environs, it is also a right move in the direction of economic diversification in the state of Osun.

“Without mincing words, as I recently emphasised at a virtual interactive session facilitated by African Union Development Agency, in collaboration with New Partnership on African Development (NEPAD), the best approach to ensure food security is through vertical integration of agricultural value chain.

“I, therefore, congratulate our royal father, the Elerinmo of Erinmo, Oba Dr Micheal Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II and the entire Elerimo- in -council for this historical feat”.

Dignataries in attendance at the event include royal fathers from Osun, Kwara and Kogi States among others.
