The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for the immediate declaration of a state of emergency on security in the country.
The party stated that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has failed the nation and her citizens.
This was made known by the national chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus at the 91st National Executive Committee, NEC meeting at the Wadata Plaza, national secretariat of the party.
However, the party chairman disclosed that the objectives of the meeting is to address security situation in the country necessitated the need to call out NEC members to deliberate on the way forward.
He further disclosed that the situation in the country is now worrisome.
