AGC Competition: NBA Osogbo ready to bring trophy home

The Football Team of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Osogbo Branch says the football team is ready to take the trophy home ahead of the competition.

The branch boasted that they are participating in the competition for trophy not as a jamboree.

This was stated by the Publicity Secretary of NBA, Osogbo, Dawood Iyiola Ajetunmobi,Esq, after the training session at the Osogbo Ciity Stadium yesterday ahead of the 61st Annual General Conference of Nigerian Bar Association (AGC).

According to him, all the members of the team are in high spirit and hope to win the trophy at the competition.

While speaking during the training,the Captain of the team, Hassan Agbelekale, Esq who doubles as the Chairman of the branch. disclosed that in the last 5 weeks,the team has been engaging in rigorous physical training that will make members of the team to last for the full duration of each match of the competition. According to him,is in addition to the strenuous training which can make a professional footballer green to envy.

“With the level of our training and preparation so far,we are the team to beat at the competition .We are going to the competition not for jamboree but to win the trophy”

Other members of the team such as Abbass, Kayode, Pelumi and Sonaike who spoke at the training exude high level of confidence and expressed their readiness to actively participate in the competition and bring the trophy back to Osogbo.

The Coach of the team, Abdul Lateef Abiola also boasted that his team will win the competition.

He asserted that in term of fitness the team is as “fit as fiddle”.He added that his boys have already done their medicals and have been given clean slate as far as medical fitness is concerned.

“In term of ball possession,ball distribution and defence,my boys are very superb. Our team will treat the conferees to best of football in Port Harcourt,” Ajetunmobi added.
