A 32-year-old man, Frank Nnamonu have beeb remanded in a correctional centre, by Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl.
The accused was charged with one count of defilement.
The Prosecution Counsel, Ikem Uko, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on August 2, at about 7. 20p.m at Ilogbo area of Lagos.
Uko said that the parents of the girl reported the case at the police station.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya adjourned the case until October 20, for hearing.
