At least, five person have been confirmed dead while two others were injured in a road accident at kwanar Dumawa in Mijibir Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Area commander, Zubairu Mato confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He said the incident happened Thursday night at Kwanar Dumawa between a volkswagen golf and a tricycle.
He said the accident occurred as a result of over-speeding when the passengers were on their way to their villages.
He said after receiving the report, his men rushed to the scene and rushed the victims to Danbatta and Munjibir hospitals where five were confirmed dead by medical doctors.
Mato explained that those who lost their lives included four males and one female with two others injured.
He said those who lost their lives were handed over to their relatives while the injured are responding to treatments.
