XMAS: Governor Ayade Suspends Fourteen Months Curfew

Fourteen Months after that order, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River has finally suspended the curfew in the state with effect from December 25, 2021.

With the suspension of the curfew, movement will no longer be restricted in the state as residents will now be allowed to move about at any time of the day without any conswequences.

In a statement signed by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Linus Obogo on behalf of Special Adviser On Media and Publicity, the suspension is with immediate effect.

The Governor had during the heat of Endsars  protest, declared a curfew which initially started between 6pm to 6am,and was later reviewed to 10pm to 6am and 12midnight to 6am all in the last 14months.

With the suspension coming on during the yuletide season, fun seekers will be able to enjoy their Christmas celebration and the new year in Cross River State both in the day and all night without worry of harassments.
