Acting as if he knew his father had very little time left on earth, former deputy governor of Osun state and senator Iyiola Omisore hosted the creme-de-la-creme in the society to celebrate his father’s 90th birthday in July 2021.
Senator Omisore’s father Oba David Omisore until his death was the Olu of Olode town in Ife south local government area of Osun state.
News of the monarch’s demise filtered into town in the early hours of Tuesday.
Oba Omisore was known as man who took the development of the town to his heart. Olode as recalled , was one of the towns where the Osun state governorship election re-run was conducted in 2018.
Official statement is being awaited from the family to announce burial arrangements.
